Jan’s mission is to bring spiritual inspiration, a connection with history, and the joy and healing of art into the daily lives of those who are attracted to the images which are painted though her hands. Jan paints icons primarily in the Byzantine style using the process, style, techniques and materials of that era which includes painting with egg tempera, using dry pigments and gilding with 23 kt. gold leaf.
